BC (formerly Black Cotton) to release album

An up-and-coming trio equipped with infectious beats and silky-smooth flows, BC, formerly known as Black Cotton, has the blueprints to make an indelible mark in the music industry. The group consists of three emcees: Jimbo Slice, Leo-Nardo and music producer extraordinaire, Marre-L. They are setting the San Diego music scene ablaze with their first single “Something About It”.

The song is a Daft-Punk inspired diddy from their upcoming LP entitled “Keys To The Suite”, which is slated for an early November release. The scorching hot record, “Something About It”, is already causing a stir not only locally in San Diego but also across the pond. The blend of sounds is unlike anything out there right now and is sure to take over the waves.

Producer and group member Marre-L comments, “I love every record on the album; it’s challenging to choose a favorite but ‘Something About It’ has an undeniably feel-good sound that can be loved and enjoyed by anyone, and everyone.”

There is no doubt that the song, once heard, will be played on repeat in the car, on the radio, at home.

The amazingly talented Hip-Hop trio manages to flawlessly blend Hip-Hop, and R&B, which translates to a freshness the industry has been pining for. Their music is far from contrite or predictable. Their style is neither complicated nor simple, it's baby porridge for the ears and soul and they plan to feed the masses.

They've performed all over the greater San Diego area as well as Orange County and have opened up for major artists. Their resume includes Mitchy Slick, Wiz Khalifa and Yung Berg.

The group is currently promoting its sixth venture entitled "Keys to the Suite". “Keys to the Suite”, available in November, will be a timeless record to be appreciated by the masses. Everything about the group; upcoming shows, songs, videos and photos can be found on their blog, http://www.itsallbc.com/.

BC (Black Cotton)
Spawned from America’s finest city, San Diego, Ca. BC is destined to cause a stir in the ever-changing culture of hip-hop. BC is comprised of three talented emcees: Jimbo Slice, Leo-Nardo and music producer extraordinaire, Marre-L (all childhood cronies). To the members of BC, the group name represents foundation and wealth. The United States was largely founded on the agricultural business of producing and selling cotton, which in turn meant wealth at the time. To BC, wealth is also what you make it: family, community, relationships, life, memories etc.

BC’s style is described as real Hip Hop with an R&B swagger, wearing a conscious kufi in a gangsta stance. The members of BC are intelligent enough to know their music cannot please everyone, but through their unique style, they will definitely try. Many say that BC is different, that their style is “throw back Hip Hop”. Others say BC’s lyrics are real and that their beats remain true to the meaning of Hip Hop. What is fact is that BC is far from the norm.

Black Cotton’s music is original and has sounds for every occasion. They are the part of the equation that will bring the love of Hip Hop back into our hearts. You can check out their music on http://www.theblackcotton.com/ or reach them at www.itsallbc.com.

Keys to the SuiteT
he album title is a double entendre that mirrors their success as well as their fun-loving lifestyle. Their No-bad-days attitude is apparent throughout the album with joints like "Weekend", "Something About It" and "Penthouse Music". And tracks such as “What Goes Up", "Japan" and "So Good" display their lyrical prowess. Braggadocio by nature, but equipped with the skills to back it up, BC promises to make its mark in the ever-evolving game by going down as one of the dopest groups in the annals of Hip-Hop. "Keys to the Suite" will drop in November.
