Bellamy Brothers to release album Tuesday

Thirty-five years ago, David and Howard Bellamy of the Bellamy Brothers signed their first major recording contract with Curb Records. Three and a half decades later, the country music / American pop duo holds 20 #1 hits, more than 50 charted country hits and have released more than 50 albums.

In celebration of the milestone, next Tuesday, October 5, the brothers release Bellamy Brothers: The Anthology Volume 2. The new album follows last year’s Bellamy Brothers: The Anthology Volume 1.

“Some days it feels like Howard and I are a brand new band, just getting started,” notes David Bellamy of the band's 35 years in the business. “On other days, it seems like we’ve been around a hundred years or more. In all honesty, we’re just a couple of ‘old hippies.' I guess it works, huh?”

The album contains 4 brand new songs scattered throughout 17 of the Bellamy Brothers’ classic hits including “Lovers Live Longer,” “I Could Be Persuaded” and “Forget About Me.” The brothers also reunite with Kevin and Michael Bacon, adding a little Bellamy flavor to the Bacon Brothers’ original “Strung Out.” Fans can expect special bonus DVD footage including the brothers’controversial new YouTube viral hit, “Jalapeños,” as well as live performance videos.

Bellamy Brothers: The Anthology Volume 2 will be available for purchase next Tuesday, October 5, in all Wal-Mart retail locations or online via i-Tunes and at www.bellamybrothers.com.
