"Shivering Inside," John Lennon novel, releases Saturday

Shivering Inside
A novel on the life of John Winston Lennon (Dec. 1961-Apr. 1963)
By Jude Southerland Kessler

From the day that The Beatles formed a managerial agreement with Brian Epstein (10 Dec. 1963) to mid-April of 1963, they hardly took a breath. A happy blur, the fans thought. But for John Lennon, the hectic rise to glory failed to cure his Shivering Inside.

Shivering Inside is the second book in a 9-book series on the life of John Lennon. This meticulous novel covers John's personal life and career from Dec. 1961- April 1963 with the birth of his son Julian. From the rise of the Beatles to the death of Stu Sutcliff, from the ousting of Pete Best and hiring of Ringo Starr, from the wedding of John and Cynthia to the birth of their child, every aspect of Lennon’s whirlwind life is contained in Kessler’s riveting novel.

Written with the help of Bill Harry (who also wrote the Foreword), Sam Leach, Joe Flannery, and Richard Langham, Shivering Inside gives the reader not only a 675-page narrative, but an "Encyclopedia of Characters", a "Scouse Glossary" of Liverpudlian terms, and photos gathered from countless collectors around the world.

Jude Southerland Kessler has spent over 20 years and made seven trips to Liverpool to research her comprehensive and thorough novels on the life of John Lennon. Shoulda Been There was the first installment in a nine book series and covers Lennon’s life from his birth in 1940 to December 1961.
